Following market engagement and a comprehensive tender exercise, the 2024 Care and Support at Home Framework, which replaces three previous Frameworks, went ‘live’ on 29 September 2024. The new Framework is designed to support customers to live independently for as long as possible and lead fulfilled lives, ensure capacity across the county and to support a sustainable provider market in West Sussex. More than 120 providers have been successful on the Framework to be able to support new and existing customers and providers who were not successful or did not bid have been contacted to have the opportunity to enable continuity of care through retaining existing customers.
The 2024 Framework will also make use of the Council’s new payment portal to expedite payments of delivered care hours. Support to access the new payment portal is being rolled out to providers across five phases and will be complete in November.
A workshop for successful providers to outline the new service specification and contract terms and conditions was held on 27 September and a list of question and answers from the initial session is available on request from adultscommissioning@westsussex.gov.uk. The Council plan to host a further framework engagement session on Wednesday 11 November and we are delighted to have the opportunity to work with the Framework providers moving forward as we implement the new arrangements.
If you have a question about the 2024 Framework, please get in touch via AdultsCommissioning@westsussex.gov.uk and a member of the team will be in touch.
Thank you to all those who submitted a bid and to all West Sussex Care and Support providers who continue to support the residents of West Sussex every day.
